BWFC: Another striker? Really?

According to reports circling the internet, our manager isn`t prioritising the recruitment of another defender to plug the leak- which still seems to be seeping moisture- he is contemplating a £1 million move for powerful DR Congo international striker Jeremy Bokila.

Apparently, Freedman wants to draft the hit-man from Belgian side Zulte Waragem and hopes to have him enlisted for the opening game of the season. Romanian club Petrolul, who Bokila was on loan with, believed a deal to sign him had been reached. Bolton has now jumped the queue and look favourites to land the striker.

If indeed these reports are correct, you would have to deduce, one of our current crop of strikers leaving the Whites this summer, at least. Maybe no coincidence, rumours are again circulating of Wolves` desire to sign Craig Davies. I suspect the signing of Bokila relies heavily on whether Wolves are serious with their intentions of snatching our forward.

A bit too many ifs, buts and maybes to be hurdled for this scenario manifesting before August 3rd, me thinks. If at all…

I'll quite happily take a replacement for any player we signed when we were in the Premiership to get the wage bill down, with a couple of notable exceptions (Mavies and Holden).

We've been tentatively linked with Utrecht's Jacob Mulenga, too.

As you said unless someone leaves we don't need another striker.
