Whaddya Want?

Hi everyone, just a quick one tonight. No news, I`m just asking for your opinion. I`m going to be posting the Forest match preview tomorrow morning, but with regards to future match previews, I wanted to know whether you guys had an opinion on when they are posted; Friday evenings or Saturday mornings?

Saturday mornings are preferable for me, as it means I have more time to write a better article instead of putting off potential Friday plans (we all have a life from time to time!). Also, and I don`t know if this is just me, but I used to read the match preview on my way to the game (or just before). This could just be me however.

If you feel strongly about having them earlier, please speak up. We`re a little community and I don`t want to make a decision on this, only for it to not suit you guys. I didn`t want to deprive you of your match result poll, so can you please vote for Friday/Saturday using the comments below?

Cheers, Al

I prefer Friday but I don't have a problem with Saturday. When on Saturday's I usually end up reading them AFTER the match!

In the old days when Bill Ridding was manager and fans paid at the turnstiles, during the game directors would collect in the boardroom discussing how to share the takings which would be stacked on the table, so much for wages and expenses, so much to the bank and the rest shared between us. The system was bent in those days but we all related with each other. Nat Lofthouse would meet up with Tom Finney at the train station with their kit bag and boots slung over the shoulder ( with wooden studs) they would board a train alongside the supporters off to Wembley or Hampton Park for an international game the same day ! Nat had probably been down the pit doing a hard days graft the day before. I think the lads got £10 a game playing for England. How times have changed ! As a kid you could never afford paying at the turnstiles so you either waited for half time when they opened the gates at half time or you climbed over the perimeter wall at the top of the embankment from the railway lines, hoping you were not seen and grabbed. Once on the paddock you would try and climb into the stands as it was a sheer thrill to sit on the seats and see every part of the pitch from high up ! Great times if you were young !

go for Saturday mornings AL, previews tend to be the same all over the net so a good strong article on friday will be preferable, well at least for me anyhow.
