Bolton Draw At Sunderland
Stadium of Light
Bolton continue to wait for an away win this season but probably edged Sunderland in a 3-3 draw, a result which cost Black Cats boss Simon Grayson his job
Sammy Ameobi's lovely long range effort put us ahead, but goals from Lewis Grabban either side of the break turned the match around.
Gary Madine ended his scoreless run to level things before Karl Henry scored his first ever Bolton goal to put Wanderers ahead.
We'd be denied a win though, Paddy McNair capped a good week for himself, having being recalled to the Northern Ireland team he made it 3-3.
While a draw is hardly a disaster, and at least we are scoring goals and picking up points now, one worrying trend is the habit in the last three games of conceding late on. If the matches had lasted 70 minutes, we'd have won every game in October and be out of the relegation zone. I don't know why it would be. An effect of being without the ball for long periods of time? Fitness? Mentality?
