Bolton Lose At Scunthorpe

Scunthorpe United
1 - 0
Bolton Wanderers

Glanford Park

8 April

Attendance: 6,149

Referee:

Bolton's unbeaten run came to an end, but results elsewhere kept the gap over Fleetwood and Bradford to seven points.

Gary Madine was missed as try as he might, Conor Wilkinson just didn't have the same threat. Chances were had, particularly in the second half, but Joe Anyon in the United goal didn't have too much to do.

David Mirfin was the scorer. An early free kick was put in the box and the header beat Mark Howard - being right behind him I'm not sure there was much he could have done.

Anyway, we still only need two more wins for promotion. If third and fourth slip up on Friday, Oldham might be enough.

We've come a long way in 12 months. Be happy.

Star Player

Can't say I'm sure...Dorian Dervite put on a good show though, and actually tried to play the ball out of the back on a few occasions, which we don't do enough
