Vital Quotes:

'I'm not surprised but I am a bit hurt and upset. I thought with a new England manager coming in I might have a shout...'

Kevin Nolan reflects on his ommission from the England squad. Some might say he's deluded. In truth, it's a cunning plan to convulse the opposition with laughter and stop them playing.

Bolton Team News:

Joey O'Brien is doubtful with a hamstring injury, otherwise the home side have a clean bill of health.

Player to watch: El Hadji Diouf

Diouf's creativity has been missed and the competition in Bolton's front line should give even more incentive to perform.

Portsmouth Team News:

Portsmouth have their African contingent back. Here's to jet lag.

Player to watch: Jermaine Defoe

The £9 million signing will be keen to prove his worth after feeling that he was hard done to at Tottenham.

Match Facts & Stats

Last season's fixture resulted in a 3-2 victory for Bolton after Matt Taylor had put the visitors ahead in the first minute. Remember who you're playing for now, Matt.

On 2nd thoughts, *don't* remember who you're playing for Matt, and stick a 30 yarder in your own net... You know it makes sense!

Has all the makings of a good relegation struggle.

A bit early for talking bollox TH. Bolton maybe close to it but not in it & we are few points off 4th. Muppet. Anyway, no doubt it will be a cut & thrust game with the away team winning 2-1.

TergeHauge - Have you seen the league table lately.... haave a look at the points coloum and then let us know who was the last team to get relegated that had 38 points.... In February !! - Should be a good game and if Matty Taylor does sticck in a 30 yarder We'd be gutted...

I would go for an away win too but a narrow one.
