Preview: Bolton v Rochdale

Bolton Wanderers
vs.
Rochdale

Macron Stadium

14 February

8.00pm

Whipped by your other half? No. Good. There's a big game at the Macron as Bolton face a tricky test as Rochdale visit. Dale have had a good season and would go four points behind us with a win.

Obviously we need the points to continue keeping the pace with the top two, to build on that great win on Saturday, and also avenge the 1-0 defeat back in September.

Vital Quotes:

"We changed the team shape against Walsall but have to try and strike a balance between continuity and maybe freshening things up."

Bolton Wanderers Team News:

Chris Long could be a doubt, which would be a shame after his performance off the bench at the weekend. This could mean though Parky has all his fit loanees at hand. Mark Howard was on the bench at the weekend and could start. He may not too.

Player to watch: Ben Alnwick

Alnwick has largely done well since coming in. A few errors at the weekend though and if he does majorly slip up, he knows there is someone of quality to replace him.

Rochdale Team News:

I will shrug my shoulders and say I can't find any at the moment.

Player to watch: Mark Kitching

Played very well apparently at the weekend against Fleetwood, getting in the Football League Paper's League One Team of the Week.

Match Facts & Stats

Bolton won their first game of 2017 at the weekend. Rochdale haven't won in the league since January 2nd, at Walsall

Rochdale have failed to score in their last four games. Bolton have scored in three of their last four.

Match Prediction:

I'll go 1-1, because despite their recent form Rochdale aren't a bad side

Important away trips to Bradford and Sheffield United in the next two weekends
