Fulham vs. Bolton

Craven Cottage

29th November

Megson's Last Stand?

Bolton travel to Fulham not having won a league game at Craven Cottage since 1992. Expectations that that run will end are not high.

Vital Quotes:

'We`ll get out of this. It makes me laugh — and I don`t know whether it is because we are in it — but the furore that is created at Bolton in this position isn`t the same as the furore that is created at other football clubs when they are in it.`

Gary Megson shows increasing signs of mental disintegration. Offers to de-cipher this will be gratefully accepted.

The Bolton furore is very similar to the Nottingham Forest furore of 2006 and the Leicester City furore of 2007. By coincidence, the Ginger One was manager of those two clubs at the time.

Fulham Team News:

Diomansy Kamara is out with a knee injury. Danny Murphy, Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora are doubtful

Player to watch: Clint Dempsey

Fulham's top scorer will relish coming up against Bolton's generous defence.

Bolton Team News:

Ricardo Garner and Tamir Cohen are doubts. No doubts about former Fulham man Sean Davis. He's out for the season.

Ricardo Vaz Te has escaped and was last seen heading for the airport.

Player to watch: Matt Taylor

Written more in hope than expectation. Taylor has had a wretched season so far. Time to buck up Matty.

Match Facts & Stats

Fulham lead 17-9 in league games on home soil

Ref Watch:

Steve 'Gordon' Bennett. Good news for Fulham. He's carried a grudge against Bolton ever since being duped by El Hadji Diouf's wonder dive at Blackburn in 2005.

Match Prediction:

Bolton's hopes for a win rest on Fulham either being tired from their mid-week game or going out on the lash on Friday.

A defeat could leave the Wanderers second bottom, more than a win from safety given their poor goal difference. Should that be the case then hopefully it will be the result that triggers Gary Megson's departure.

Home win this one I'm afraid!
Merlin
Def a home win. Megson seemed to have found the right balance against Tottenham and Everton, but then Elmander comes back and he changes the formation and balance for him. BIG Mistake
