Gooner Give You Up

Bolton entertain (probably an appropriate word) Arsenal in a game that's isn't exactly being eagerly anticipated by the Reebok faithful. Can we hide under the bed clothes until they've gone?

Vital Quotes:

Last season we should have won and how we managed to contrive a defeat from that, I still don't know.

Gary Megson reflects on last season's disaster in this fixture. Finger on the pulse or what?

Training has been fine, but it was fine before, so where that performance came from, no one knows.

Last week's debacle at Fulham gets the gaz analysis. He doesn't know, no one knows. There must be someone, somewhere who does.

Bolton Team News:

Johan Elmander is approaching fitness and may feature. Matt Taylor still has a poorly toe. Numb Nuts Cahill is still suspended.

Player to watch: Who knows?

They're all equally incompetent.

Arsenal Team News:

Samir Nasri is missing with a knee injury and Abou Diaby has a thigh strain. Mikael Silvestre hasn't played yet. The new Quinton Fortune?

Player to watch: Emmanuel Adebayor

Theo Walcott is a worry. He's always been quick, but now the little sod has got the scoring habit. However the duel between Emmanuel Adebayor and Danny Shittu is the biggest mis-match since Amir Khan last stepped into a boxing ring. Maybe Adebayor will be immobilised with laughter. You can only hope.

Match Facts & Stats

In home games Bolton have 27 wins to Arsnenal's thirteen.

Ref Watch:

Steve Bennett. Hasn't forgiven Bolton since El Hadji Diouf conned him into giving a penalty three and a half years ago. Horrible slap head.

Next Fixtures:

Manchester United (A)

Splendid

Funny how these goons all sound like their wrinkley faced manager who can moan about other teams in more than 2 languages. We are happy to admit that Arsenal played well in the first half. Your first goal was offside and there was nothing wrong with Davies tackle as the TV shows he clearly got the ball first. I remember when Arsenal were a proper battling English side unlike now a bunch of skillfull pansies. We may battle relegation but you will continue to be the nearly men. Nearly won the league, nearly won the champ league oh but not quite.
durkinip
well what has your team nearly done of any note? i would rather be "nearly there" than no-where...so in that sense you must really like and respect man-utd coz they have done it recently...
