Spearing Will Not Be Staying At Bolton

Jay Spearing has left Bolton after not agreeing a new deal.

Initialy signing on loan in 2012, before the deal was made permanent in 2013, Spearing had been a regular in midfield for the majority of the post Premier League-era. But he was one of the higher-earners, and with his contract expiring at the end of last season, there was always a worry he wouldn't re-sign, and the club confirmed this morning that he has indeed left.

It's a massive shame, he would have been pretty useful in midfield but we're simply not in a position to meet his wage demands. We just have to move on.
