Wanderers End With Mjallby Defeat

Wanderers End With Mjallby Defeat

Bolton's pre-season tour of Scandinavia ended with a 3-2 defeat to Swedish topflight outfit Mjallby on Wednesday.

New re-signing Kevin McNaughton was handed a start with Wanderers racing into a two-goal lead within 10-minutes with Jermaine Beckford and Robert Hall scoring.

Mattias Hakansson pulled one back minutes later with Matt Mills and Kristian Haynes between them seeing the Swedes draw level but it was they that were ahead by half time when Kwame Bounso added a third.

The half time scoreline of three-two to the Mjallby is how the game ended meaning Bolton drew one, won one and lost one of the three-game Scandinavia tour with the main thing being that plenty got some good playing time under their belts though.

Lonergan, McNaughton (Riley 61), Mills (Dervite 69), Ream (Bolger 65), Moxey (Threlkeld 61), Spearing (Medo 73), Danns (Pratley 65), Feeney (Iliev 61), M Davies (Vela 53), Hall, Beckford (C Davies 73)

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he's currently not well, he'll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he's got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
