Former Palace Man To Sign

Former Palace Man To Sign

The former Crystal Palace man 'poised to sign' isn't Jonathan Parr, as had been reported, it seems as though it will be Dean Moxey who is also a free agent.

Moxey, like Parr, played under Dougie Freedman at Crystal Palace with the Bolton News reporting that the 28-year-old had a medical with the club on Tuesday with a contract expected to be signed today.

Freedman was in the market for cover due to Marc Tierney still sidelined, apparently Parr was spoken with but terms couldn't be agreed with the Norwegian international but Moxey would prove a good signing as he has plenty of experience throughout the divisions and did play 20-games in the premier league last season.

One that might be unlikely to return now though is Joe Mason, apparently he is 'up for sale' at Cardiff City but Reading have expressed an interested but the former Bolton loanees asking price is though to be £1.5m.

Stuart Holden though should be 'on schedule' to join the Bolton squad this summer, his rehab from the latest knee injury suffered has gone well with him back on non-contract terms at the moment.

Thoughts?

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he's currently not well, he'll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he's got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.

Very good news that we have signed an experienced full-back to challenge Tierney whenever he is fit again. I seem to remember that the latter has a history of injuries, which is unfortunate, because he is a very good defender. However, I don't think the fans will be entirely satisfied or mildly confident, until DF brings in the strikers we all want and definitely need! And they certainly won't be free transfers!

Bolton Sign Off At Home With Win

Bolton won their final home game of the season yesterday as Stephen Dobbie's second half goal gave Wanderers a victory over playoff-bound Hull City.

The Whites' big chance of the first half fell to Darren Pratley, who was just six yards from goal but still managed to find himself being denied by goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic, before Zach Clough's effort was blocked.

The captain then did himself few favours farcically going over in the penalty area when anyone could see he hadn't been
