Sammy Lee Moves On

Sammy Lee's second spell with Bolton has come to an end with him leaving his role as head of academy coaching and development to join another club, not the one he left for though!

Having been assistant at Bolton previously he eventually become the boss, but this didn't work out.

Lee returned to a coaching role with the club early in 2012 to work within the academy set-up, which is arguably his best area but his departure was confirmed on Friday with him leaving to work as new Brighton & Hove Albion boss Sami Hyypia's assistant.

Speaking on his departure chairman Phil Gartside told the official website: 'Sammy has been a fantastic servant to Bolton Wanderers during his time with us.

'I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Sammy for his endeavours and efforts with us and wish him all the best for the future.'

However, in a bizarre late twist this morning it was confirmed that while Lee is still leaving Bolton he isn't linking up with Brighton any longer as he's accepted an offer from premier league outfit Southampton to join their coaching set-up instead!

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he's currently not well, he'll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he's got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
