Bolton Wanderers: Simon Charlton. International
We don't normally do news articles on this site (our friends on other sites have that covered more than adequately), but when we saw that Ralf Little of Royle Family fame had played an international game for the Principality of Sealand, we thought...hmm..quirky. So had a look.
Imagine our surprise to see Bolton Wanderers Player of the Year 2002, and Mrs X Snr's favourite ever Bolton player, Simon Charlton not only lining up for the offshore principality for their game against the Chagos Islands, but captaining the side.
Many congratulations to Simon on his achievement. We are sure that he has many more international caps left in him.
