The Problem with Lee Chung-Yong

There wasn`t much to write about regarding Bolton`s defeat at Liverpool. Perform fairly well in the first half. Concede a rubbish goal. Don`t turn up for the second half. End of summary.

But there was one bright spot, especially in the opening period, and that was Lee Chung-Yong. He was unlucky not to score after a fine run from the centre line and was only thwarted by a combination of alert goalkeeping and a clearance off the line.

Those few seconds were further proof of the Korean`s growing confidence in the English game. He deserves much credit for his efforts so far. Lee has had to learn a new language, cope with being thousands of miles away from home and adapt to a higher standard of football. He`s not the finished product, but the project is progressing nicely.

There`s just one problem. You have to give credit to Gary Megson for signing him. Somehow, this just doesn`t feel right. If anyone can suggest a solution to this unsavoury situation please let us know.

As you haven't got a director of football the easiest solution is to big up the scouts and claim any mug would have signed him
Phartman87
Ignore it and convince yourself that Coyle signed him.

There is no way out of it, we have to be fair. Megson took a stab at him and paid around 2 Million for his services. Its easy to think that in a couple of years when he has beefed up a bit that the top four will be queuing up with offers of not under 10 Million for the guy. The lad has a freshness about him that the club had been missing and he can only get better.
Trotting24
Don't encourage the thought, Megson will be on Sky soon enough, or talking to the dreaded Nixon telling us all about his talent spotting. He won't mention Elmander though.
