Alan Shearer to be Appointed Bolton Manager?
These are gloomy times for Bolton Wanderers. Poor results, couldn`t care less performances from the players, and fans who`ve gone through the anger stage and are now apathetic. So we`re grateful to the wag in the Newcastle who started the rumour that the Whites are interested in appointing Alan Shearer when Gary Megson gets the bullet.
Not that wacky football ideas are anything new on Tyneside, but they`re usually confined to the home club. Perhaps such things come from the Geordie habit of ingesting Newcastle Brown intravenously so that the required levels of intoxication can be maintained, even when unconscious.
If Bolton are looking to appoint a man with experience of taking charge of a relegation threatened club and making absolutely no difference whatsoever, then Shearer`s the man. Otherwise, another candidate should be preferred.
