'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Do You Want Nolan to Go?

No player divides the opinions of Bolton fans like Kevin Nolan. So the news that he is the subject of a 4.5 million bid from Newcastle United will either have elicited cries of joy or howls of anguish, depending on which side of the fence you sit.

To his fans, Nolan is a throw back to the times before money ruined football. A loyal and committed club captain, who has been there right through Bolton`s current stint in the Premier League and contributed both on and off the field. To his detractors, he is an overweight, undisciplined, immobile lump who bears more resemblance to a tub of lard than a footballer.

Do you want him to leave or should he stay? Let us have your opinions and then vote in the latest Vital Bolton poll.

Actually, the fee is 3 million. http://www.newcastle.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=141378

so are you, as the editor, a detractor or the other lot?

I'd say, I'm a conveyor of truth. ;-)

We'll have him at Pompey for 3m please!

Looks like the boo-boys have finally got what they wanted... Megson to quit at weekend then it'll be job done & we can all listen to "how they told us so"...... It's a f@uking mess.

Actually why don't we get Eddie Davies out while were at it? Then we can return to the reet good olden' times of playing Bury in Div 3..... Of course we'll have ceased to exist before we even hit Div 2. At least we'll have another supermarket to choose from when the ground gets sold. A new Sainsbury's would be nice......
Big Stu
It would be sad to see him go as he's been such a servant to the club. On the other hand, he's probably had only a handful of decent games for us over the past two or three years. 4.5 million (sorry I respect the Grauniad far more than Newcastle Vital Football) is a pretty good price for him too.

No one leaves till the end of the season, we dont have that many players we can afford to lose them. Why would anyone want to go to relegated Newcastle.

Evolution - Nolan has gotten FAR too comfortable at Bolton. Take the money and spend it on someone who has hunger and drive. Right decision.
