Agent Allardyce Moves Closer

Former Bolton boss Sam Allardyce has emerged as the favourite to take over from Paul Ince at Blackburn, with some sources suggesting that he could be appointed as early as this afternoon. As predicted on this site yesterday, Big Sam was in the car park at Ewood Park within ten minutes of Ince leaving and shortly afterwards handed a prepared statement to Rovers chairman John Williams.

It was exactly the same as his last prepared statement but with the word 'Sunderland` crossed out and 'Blackburn` inserted. Blackburn are a great club and could really go places under his leadership. Apparently.

Sam was in such a rush that he forgot to take his personal camera crew with him, which accounts for the lack of footage on the matter so far. Expect that to be remedied soon.
