'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Megson`s Popularity Soars

The latest Vital Bolton poll indicates that 56% of respondents like Gary Megson more than they did before. Before what, you may ask. The recent improved results, the run up to Christmas, or this site`s be Nice to the Ginger One campaign (for which we have yet to receive an official thank you from the club - some people are so ungrateful). Not surprisingly, we think it`s the last reason.

Of course the poll is flawed. The 56% may have hated him with a passion and now despise the Bolton manager in a more lethargic way. There is no way of knowing. It`s good news for Mr M though, and we offer our humble congratulations. It`ll still be some time before he`s getting the keys to the town though.

Fickle fans! A few decent results does not make a good manager.
