Up Yours Mr Winter

Jeff Winter was a rotten referee and entirely too fond of himself. He`s no better as a tipster. Writing in his column for the Middlesbrough Evening Gazette, the former match official and 'Boro fan wrote:

I saw them [Bolton] play Manchester City just after we had beaten the Manchester millionaires last month.

It was a carbon copy performance, with City having the majority of possession before eventually being battled out of the game.

I saw nothing that should scare Boro though.


Manchester City were beaten by two goals of quality. One of them a five man move and the other involving four players. That doesn`t qualify as being 'battled out of the game.`
