Agent Campo Signs for Ipswich

Former fans favourite Ivan Campo is set to sign a two year deal with Ipswich Town pending a medical. The Spaniard played 141 times for Bolton and was the last of Sam Allardyce`s galacticos to leave the club.

Campo endeared himself to Wanderers fans last month when he penned an open letter to them expressing how much playing for the club had meant to him. At his best he was an effective holding midfielder and an excellent passer of the ball. It`s probably better to skim over the times when he didn`t quite reach those heights.

The player`s best days are behind him now, but he may still make a useful contribution at a Championship side. All Bolton fans will wish him well.

Looking forward to having him play for us. He will bring something special to our team for sure.

During a game he was either brilliant or a bloody nightmare. Worst memory is how many times he lost the ball on the edge of the penalty area and then performed a theatrical dive in an attempt to get a free kick. When he was brilliant he would thread a perfectly weighted pass 35 yards to the feet of a forward. Overall he is a great player.

Colonel Campo will go down as a Bolton great - no doubt. Ipswich are getting a very good player, even at this stage in his career.
