'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Elmander's the Man

According to the latest Vital Bolton poll 65% of Bolton fans are happy with the signing of Johan Elmander. The Swede had a lean time at Euro 2008, playing out of position for a poorly performing side, but Wanderers followers are happy to put their faith in Gary Megson and his scouting team. Supporters of Toulouse seem sad to see him leave.

'Congratulations for you,` said one. 'I'm so sad for my team, because Johan is a fabulous player, in his game and in his behaviour. He is a real good guy who doesn't care how much energy he spends on the field. I'm sure that you're going to appreciate Johan.`

Another was equally enthusiastic: 'Johan will make you happy and I do not believe that the price is too high, I have seen lots of worse footballers go for much higher transfers.

'You will get a goal scorer that I imagine will score at least 10-15 goals next season if given a fair chance in the squad.

'You will also get a forward that runs a lot - he can tear up big holes in pretty much any defensive line and doing so he will create chances for his teammates.`

Daniel Braaten has moved the other way, joining Toulouse on a three year contract. Regrettably, it isn`t possible to publish comments from Bolton fans on the player, due to this being a family site.
