Bolton in for Zigic?  Oi, Megson.  No!

The yearly rumour linking Bolton with striker Nikola Zigic has once more reared its extremely ugly head. Former boss Sam Allardyce watched the giant Serb back in July 2006, accompanied by Harry Redknapp, as Crvena Zvezda played in a Champions League qualifier against Cork City. The Portsmouth manager was not impressed.

"He was the tallest bloke on the pitch by a yard, but never won a single header all night," said Redknapp.

"They were asking £5 million for him. Afterwards, his agent came up to me and said 'I don't think five million will buy him.`

"I replied 'I know, I'm one of them.'"

Take note Gary Megson.

I remember that... In the return leg though, they beat Cork 2 or 3 nil, and Zigic got all of them.. Having said that, he's not bad on the deck, but not so good in the air - think Crouch, but not half as good!
