'If It's Football, It's Vital'

So Called Fans Bring Shame on Bolton

A bunch of attention seeking chavs organising a protest. A worthless petition. Abusive phone calls and letters to the chairman. Just when you thought it couldn`t get any worse for Bolton Wanderers, it does. A season which has been horrible is now descending into farce with some 'fans` acting like spoiled brats who think they have a god-given right to Premier League football.

An online petition has been set up. It requires no e-mail validation and can be signed anonymously. As such, it has no value. The asbo brigade on the BBC`s 606 website are trying to organise a demonstration at the game against West Ham. Get yourselves along there. Not to take part, but to laugh at the freak show. A more ignorant, uninformed bunch of losers you couldn`t wish to find.

The principal target of all this vitriol is chairman Phil Gartside. He certainly has questions to answer. The hurried appointment of Sammy Lee, the selection process that resulted in the arrival of Gary Megson and the spat with Sam Allardyce need explaining.

But the time for the inquest is not now. There are still five games to go, four of them against opposition who have nothing to play for. Getting behind the players may be a bit of an effort after their pathetic display against Aston Villa, but at this moment, it`s the only thing to do. Sadly, some claiming to be supporters of Bolton Wanderers will prefer to continue with their hysterical and self- indulgent snivelling. They are a disgrace to the club.

Hate to say it but even the poll that's running doesn't agree with you. 60% are against the manager & chairman. Protests are a bit extreme but Gartside made a huge cock up with Sammy Lee. He should have begged Big Sam to come back after Newcastle pulled the trigger
